My Mathematical Past
I remember when I was in grade 7, I hated my math teacher Cbyr so much that I did not have any motivation to learn math. Although math might be difficult sometimes, I have never hated it. However Cbyr's class disgusted me - he tried to be humorous and his jokes actually made fun of students who were fat or not good-looking regardless of their performance in math.
Fortunately, I had a role model who helped me with math so that I could still do well even I refuse to listen to Cbyr's class. It was my grandfather, who used to be a professor teaching computer science. He spend a lot of time with me after getting retired and teaches me about math in a good way. I was not good at trigonometry, so he borrowed some trigonometry models from his former colleagues so that I could play with them. He encouraged me to challenge difficult questions but also told me to pay more attention on easy and basic tricky questions that I may carelessly lose mark. Although I have met many good math teachers after going to high school, my grandfather is always the best math "teacher" in my mind.

I am so glad that you had your grandfather as a role model, and to counteract that teacher's bullying ways!
